Pivec Samosas


Pivec Samosas
1 Tb. oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped finely
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. fresh ginger, grated finely
1 tsp. curry powder
½ tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. ground turmeric
½ tsp. ground cumin
1 to 1 ½ fresh chili, finely diced
1 tsp. coriander
Juice of half a lemon

Heat 1 Tb oil in frying pan. Add onion, garlic, ginger, chili  and spices. Stir 20-30 second. Add beef. Cook until well done. Drain excess oil. Remove from heat and add coriander and lemon juice.

Cut spring roll pastry sheet into thirds. Use 1-2 Tb mix for each third of spring roll wrap. Make an egg roll shape. Deep fry 2 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. Oh yes, they are. We like them with a little cucumber dressing as a dipping sauce.
